4 DAY RAIL JOURNEY - SYDNEY, ADELAIDE, PERTH AND PERTH, ADELAIDE, SYDNEY
Experience one of the world’s greatest train journeys, travelling across this vast land from one ocean to another. Covering a distance of 4353km, no other train journey carries you through so many different terrains and diverse landscapes.Travel in style on board, in the luxury of Gold Service.
Gold Service – make your journey extra special and travel in Gold service and receive an on-board magazine, Gold service reception, daily newsletter, fine dining (excluding drinks) in the restaurant car and the Gold Lounge (breakfast packs will be delivered to cabins for those with early morning departures).Twin cabins feature a three-seater lounge that converts to upper and lower sleeping berths, and en-suite facilities with toilet,wash basin and shower. Due to space constraints, guests should only take on board hand luggage required for the journey. Guests are permitted a maximum of 40kgs (2 items not exceeding 20kgs each) free of charge in the luggage car.
Day 1-3 – Sydney/Perth: depart Sydney on a Wednesday or Saturday afternoon for three nights on board the Indian Pacific in Gold service.Views of the spectacular Blue Mountains turn to remote, red outback and then into the green and gold of the Sun Belt. You’ll even travel along the world’s longest stretch of straight railway track as you head through the treeless plains of the Nullarbor. There are plenty of opportunities to get close to some of the outback’s most famous sights on the optional off-train sightseeing tours at Broken Hill, Adelaide and the historical gold-mining town of Kalgoorie.
Day 4 – Perth: your journey ends with many beautiful memories in Perth. Please note: this journey can be done in reverse departing Perth on a Sunday or Wednesday and arriving into Sydney on a Wednesday and Saturday.
The Indian Pacific also offers you the opportunity to join and depart the train at Adelaide. Adelaide to Perth(2 nights) – departs Sunday and Thursday Perth to Adelaide (2 nights) – departs Sunday and Wednesday.
