If you only do one activity in Sydney - I would highly recommend this one. Reaching the top of the Bridge is rewarded by the breathtaking view.
You spend approx two hours on the bridge itself, weaving through catwalks, up ladders and then to the most spectacular point of all - the upper arch Climb.
Your reward once you reach the summit of the bridge is a spectacular 360-degree view of one of the world's most beautiful harbours.
The Climb Leader, who escorts each group of max twelve climbers, is equipped with a camera to capture the moment.
The whole tour is approx 3.5 hrs long as before you start climbing you must arrive no later than 15 mins prior to climb, pass a breathiliser test and sign certain paperwork. You are then "kitted out" in all the clothing (suitable clothing for varying weather/times of yr) and safety equipment and then lead through an extensive training session of how you will climb up the bridge.
You are not allowed to take ANYTHING onto bridge, but there are ample safety lockers for all person possesions.
A must do in Sydney
Best Bits - Obviously the view, but the sense of being exposed to the elements and taking it all in is surreal. If you have already done the day walk, I would recommend the twilight walk, as the sun sets, the city lights glimmer and reflect in the harbour's surface.
Worst Bits - The slowest climber dictates pace - not really a grumble as it allows more time to stop and take it all in.
