Having missed out last time we were in Perth as we arrived too late, the family were all looking forward to visiting AQWA - the Aquarium of Western Australia.
The aquarium enjoys a great location, next to Hillary's boat harbour - which is a lovely spot, with lots of nice places to eat (great fish and chips), there's a fun park for the kids, shops for Mum and loads of boats to get Dad dreaming...
AQWA itself is unusual for an aquarium, in that it is themed, basically taking you on a journey along the west coast of Australia, so the marine life is diverse and interesting.
The highlight is the shark pool (plus rays, fish and turtles) - which is extremely well done, with Australia's largest underwater tunnel that you are transported along by a conveyor belt. There is also an interactive area for the kids which they enjoyed.
Best Bits - Great Aquarium - best I've been to.
Worst Bits - Fully loaded and unavoidable shop...
