(5 out of 5)
Took the dog to Bunker Bay today for a walk. As it is now out of season, the beach was almost deserted apart from one couple fishing for their tea.
Bunker Bay is almost at the top of the Naturiste peninsular - though it still faces north, which is a rare and "good" thing, here in WA.
It is a large, very sandy beach. There's a five star luxury resort called Quay West Resort Bunker Bay nestled behind the beach - but you can't actually see it from the beach as it is well hidden. There is also a restaurant there called "other side of the moon" and a cafe called "bunker beach cafe" - we've eaten lunch at the latter - it was good - as is the setting.
It's another great WA beach - lots of space, few people, the water is calm in the summer and can get good for surfing in the winter when the wind is right.
Today, in Autumn, there was a small swell, good enough to play about in with the kids, but we didn't as we weren't dressed for the occasion...
It has showers and toilet facilities, but no barbies.
Best Bits - Really nice, wide sandy beach on the Geographe Bay side of the Naturaliste peninsular.
Worst Bits - None
