Looking for a tree to climb? Pemberton in SW Australia is the place for you...
We came across three massive tree climbs on our stay here and they were all very, very similar (from the bottom...!)
They are all giant karri trees with viewing platforms at the top. The Gloucester and Diamond trees were originally fire look outs, whereas the Bicentennial Tree was purpose built as a tourist destination to celebrate, well the bicentennial...
All three are “pegged” to make them relatively easy to climb and have viewing platforms at the top to enable what must be astonishing views across the forest canopy and beyond.
I think that the Bicentennial Tree is the highest of the three, however, I’m sh!t scared of heights so didn’t climb any of ‘em!
Best Bits - Magnificent trees...
Worst Bits - They are very high...
