We hit the Pinnacles in October, as this was a good time due to the abundance of wild flowers blooming in Spring and the mild temperatures. They are one of the “must see” attractions in Western Australia.
There is a new visitor centre, which is quite informative about the areas geology and fauna - plus the obligatory shop...
You don't have to go the the visitor's centre as it is not directory on the area where the Pinnacles are, but if you've made the trip you may as well make the effort. I noticed that the centre wasn't open when a lot of people like to visit (sunrise / sunset) - go figure...
We did a walk around, there is a set route, which we followed, it goes on for about one kilometer. There is also a three kilometer drive - but essentially you just wonder round and have a look.
Some of the pillar resemble objects, one looked like a family, kids can have some fun with this game...
A good tip for you - stop off at a beach called Hangover Bay, which just off the road to the Pinnacles inside the Namburg National Park - it is pretty special even by WA standards...
Best Bits - easy access.
Worst Bits - none.
