We like deserted, or very uncrowded beaches. Fortunately, even in the height of summer, it is possible to grab your own spot of Paradise not far out of Dunsborough.
A little beach that we've been to a couple of times in situated between Meelup and Eagle Bay, just north of Point Picquet. There are lots of little coves along this stretch of road - but this is one bit that we've returned to. (There is a small car park on the non-beach side of the road just up from the "main" car park of Picquet Piint.
The beach itself is a real mini-Meelup. Perfect sand, red rocks, ideal for climbing and finding crabs in the rock pools, absoluetly translucent waters.
Lie back, look up at the clouds, hear the waters lapping the shore..."Daddeee, can you just!"
Best Bits - Just a great place.
Worst Bits - None.
