Smith's Beach was my screen saver for the year before I left the rat race in the UK and moved the family over to one of the most serenely beautiful places in the world. It provided the motivation...
It still does.
It's the colours. The white sand. The dense green bushland backdrop, with patches of red cliff face scratching out. The perfect blue sky reflected by the perfect blue sea. The crash of the waves. It is all that is good with nature. Love it.
I'm sure that is was even more serene before a high class resort was built unobbtusefully behind it - but I never saw it then and we can't go back and it still works with me.
Good for body boarding and when conditions are right, surfing.
Or just hang out, build a sand castle and watch the sunset.
Best Bits - Like Yallingup, but a bit less crowded (not that Yallingup is crowded!)
Worst Bits - Struggle to think of anything.
