We stayed over at the Discovery Holiday Park on our way down from Perth to Dunsborough as we wanted to stop off and see the Bunbury dolphins.
We weren't expecting much, but were really pleasantly surprised by the place and would happily have stayed longer.
The park is located across from the dolphin centre and the beach, next to a wildlife walk by the inlet and a park, only about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. You couldn't chose a better location in Bunbury.
The grounds were spacious, neat and tidy. There is a nice small pool and jumping cushion that we made use of.
The reception were helpful - there is a small shop with a few essentials.
As for the accommodation, we stayed in a deluxe chalet, which easily sleeps 6 in three bedrooms. It had all mod-cons, was tastefully furnished and spacious.
Whilst we won't stay again (we live less than an hour away), we would definately try out other Discovery Parks based on this experience.
Best Bits - Great location.
Worst Bits - We could have stayed longer.
